Who we are
Aqua Shield is a water damage crew with an office at 80-13 Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst. People call us for split pipes, cellar floods, sewer backups, mold and the slow leaks that hide behind plaster.
We handle the wet part of a loss. We remove water, dry the building and write down what we saw. The rebuild belongs to your contractor, and we hand over a record that makes that handoff easy.
How we work
- We tell you what we see before we start, and we show you the readings.
- If it can be dried, we dry it. Only material that cannot be saved is removed.
- Meters and a thermal camera guide the work, not guesses.
- You get the equipment plan, the schedule and a daily update.
- Photos and logs go into a file for your claim.
What rolls out on the truck
Submersible pumps and wand extractors for standing water. Air movers plus refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers for drying. Meters, a thermal camera, HEPA air scrubbers and plastic containment for mold and sewage work. Respirators, gloves and coveralls for the crew.
Our streets
We work in East Elmhurst and the neighborhoods around it: the Grand Central Parkway side, Northern Boulevard, Jackson Heights, Corona and Astoria. That means one- and two-family houses, rented floors, small apartment buildings, shops and larger commercial spaces.
What a day on a job looks like
A call comes in. We ask where the water is, where it came from and whether it is still running. A crew checks the electrical, shuts off the source and pumps. Then the slow work begins. A tech returns every day with a meter, shifts machines and tells you where things stand.
When the readings say dry, the equipment leaves and you receive the photos, logs and scope. If your insurer wants a call, we will make it with your permission.
Houses, rentals and shops
Most calls come from houses, two-families and apartments. We also work in shops, restaurants and offices along the commercial streets. Each needs something different: a shop owner wants to stay open, a landlord wants paperwork for tenants. We adjust the job to match.
Office hours and the emergency line
The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Emergency services are available 24/7, so a pipe that bursts on a Sunday night still gets a person on the phone.
